BNYM MELLON SMALL MID CAP GROWTH
BNY MELLON SMALL/MID CAP GROWTH FUND (SDSCX - CLASS I)
We are pleased to announce the availability of the BNY Mellon Small/Mid Cap Growth Strategy, which is now available in a Separately Managed Account (“SMA”) strategy at UBS.
This strategy is designed for advisors looking to add growth duration to their clients’ portfolios. This strategy seeks out companies believed likely to grow over the next several years, rather than two or three quarters.
Mellon’s* thematic approach helps to identify economic and demographic tailwinds driving faster growth for industries and companies across the economic landscape.
*Mellon Investments Corporation
The strategy focuses on stock selection that relies on the accurate identification of a company’s long-term sustainable growth, which we believe is critical to long-term price appreciation. The strategy primarily invests in equity securities of small-cap and mid-cap U.S. companies.
John R. Porter III leads the strategy management team, which also includes Todd W. Wakefield, CFA and Robert C. Zeuthen, CFA. The team is supported by seasoned investment professionals dedicated to small-cap and mid-cap investing.
In this environment, we believe your clients may benefit from investing in companies that we believe are likely to sustain their growth potential. BNYM Mellon Small/Mid Cap Growth SMA and BNY Mellon Small/Mid Cap Growth Fund seek out companies our investment professionals believe are likely to grow over the next several years, rather than two or three quarters.
Leveraging themes to identify opportunities for growth duration has been part of our investment process for over 15 years, and remains a priority during volatile times. Read our white paper, 8 Investment Themes for Global Growth.

All investments involve some level of risk, including loss of principal. Certain investments have specific or unique risks.
Recent market risks include pandemic risks related to COVID-19. The effects of COVID-19 have contributed to increased volatility in global markets and will likely affect certain countries, companies, industries and market sectors more dramatically than others. To the extent the fund may overweight its investments in certain countries, companies, industries or market sectors, such positions will increase the fund's exposure to risk of loss from adverse developments affecting those countries, companies, industries or sectors.
