John R. Miller, Jr.
Chief Business Officer, BNY Mellon Investment Management
John Miller is the Chief Business Officer of BNY Mellon Investment Management where he helps lead various functions including corporate strategy, M&A, governance, investment performance oversight, seed capital, front-office technology and broker-dealer relationships.
John joined BNY Mellon in 2014 and has held a number of positions during his time with the firm, including Global Head of Corporate Development and Head of Strategy for Investment Management. He also has served as a board member of five our investment firms as well as a number of other affiliated entities.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, John spent 8 years at The Boston Consulting Group, where he advised firms in the financial services sector on strategy and operating model topics. Before that John spent ~5 years practicing law in New York, where he focused on M&A, corporate law and finance topics.
John holds an A.B. Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University, a J.D. with honors from Duke University School of Law, and an M.B.A with a concentration in finance and economics from Columbia University Business School.
