CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, THE DREYFUS CORPORATION—A DIVISION OF BNY MELLON INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
Mark Santero is Chief Executive Officer of The Dreyfus Corporation, and Executive Vice President of BNY Mellon Investment Management. He is responsible for overseeing the Dreyfus Mutual Fund family and all North American (NA) Intermediary Distribution efforts for the division, as well as BNY Mellon’s U.S. Retail Direct and Cash Investment Strategies groups.
Within Dreyfus, Mark is also responsible for driving Institutional Distribution for NA Taft Hartley and Canadian Institutional client segments, as well as supporting a number of BNY Mellon’s investment boutiques to help grow their Institutional presence in North America.
Mark previously served as Chief Operating Officer of BNY Mellon Investment Management, where he was responsible for setting, facilitating and communicating the execution of all key department priorities, and assisting the Investment Management Group CEO in the operation of the overall business.
Before joining BNY Mellon, Mark was Managing Director and Head of the Private Client and Trust Banking Group at OppenheimerFunds, Inc. In this role, he was responsible for distributing OppenheimerFunds’ mutual funds, sub-advisory services and separate accounts to private banks, trust Companies and family offices. He joined OppenheimerFunds in 2010 as Senior Vice President and Head of Distribution Operations, where he oversaw the company’s Client Service, Corporate Event Planning, Sales Operations & Administration, Business Technology and Business Management departments.
Mark has held positions at Tremont, where he was Chief Operating Officer for three years, and at IVY Asset Management, where he served as Managing Director. He also spent 13 years at AMVESCAP PLC as a Global Partner, among other positions.
Mark holds an M.B.A. in finance from the Fordham Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in finance, also from Fordham University.
