Anthony F. Brady

Managing Director and Digital Officer for Treasury Services

Anthony (Tony) Brady is a Managing Director and Digital Officer for the Treasury Services business. In this role, he manages the Digital Office, which partners with the business, technology and operations leadership groups to advance Treasury Services’ digital transformation. Improved client experience is at the heart of this team’s objective; they identify critical functions and leverage internal, cross-business and third-party technology and data to create improved functional processing and unique solutions for clients. He also is responsible for working with industry workgroups and fintech companies to evaluate the potential use cases for using emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and distributed ledger, to improve the client experience with respect to payments and working capital management. Finally, Mr. Brady’s team also supports new innovation idea evaluation and program management in order to accelerate Treasury Services’ product development.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Brady served as the Head of Global Product Management for Treasury Services, including leadership of the product management, product development, and strategic planning functions for the business, driving the development of new and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients. He was also responsible for creating and implementing plans that continue to position BNY Mellon Treasury Services as a leading payment provider as new technologies are adopted. Mr. Brady was one of the original members of the SWIFT Global Payments Innovation Initiative (GPII) Vision Group, and remains active in driving adoption of the first new U.S. payment system in four decades, the Real Time Payment system, as a member of The Clearing House’s Payments Company Board of Directors.

Since joining the organization in 1983, Mr. Brady has held a variety of other management positions within Treasury Services and its predecessor organizations, including serving as Treasury Services’ Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Manager of Treasury Services’ Operations, Client Service and Onboarding, and Merger & Integration Head managing Treasury Services’ integration activities after the merger of Mellon Financial and The Bank of New York, which included coordinating the efforts necessary to integrate the two legacy business’ technology and operations into a single, streamlined entity.

A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) since 1993, he received a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Duquesne University. He also received a Certificate for completion of the Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy Program at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2018.

Cameron Brandt

Cameron Brandt joined EPFR Global in 1999 and was appointed Director of Research in 2010. Mr. Brandt, who holds a degree in economics from Yale University, has co-authored an IFR-published study of fund flows, produces regular reports on trends that emerge from EPFR Global’s data and contributes to publications including Funds Europe and a regular column for Africa Investor. He was recently added to the Financial Times’ contributor panel for the Beyondbrics forum. Mr. Brandt has represented EPFR and its parent company, Informa, at conferences ranging from Fund Forum International to Inside ETFs and is regularly quoted in the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Barron’s and other financial publications. Prior to joining EPFR Global, he was managing editor of The WorldPaper, a theme-driven international affairs supplement carried by papers in Latin America, Emerging Asia and the EMEA regions with a combined monthly circulation of over 1 million.

Kevin Brown

Kevin Brown, a 22-year veteran within Dreyfus Cash Solutions, distributes money market funds and short-duration products. Mr. Brown works with banks, trust companies, corporations, and public entities of all sizes throughout the Southeast and Southwest.

Mr. Brown is responsible for sourcing, structuring and managing all aspects of Dreyfus Cash Solutions’ relationships with institutional clients. Within national and regional banks and trust companies, his clients include Wealth & Asset Management, Institutional Trust, Retirement Services, Capital Markets, Treasury Services, and Corporate Trust. Within corporations, his clients are typically Treasury staff.

Mr. Brown maintains his “Certified Investment Management Analyst” (CIMA) designation issued by the Investments & Wealth Institute. He also hold the Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.

He graduated in 1990 from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, and has served on the Board of Directors of the State YMCA of Georgia.

Sue Ann Cormack

Sue Ann Cormack is Executive Vice President, Director of Sales for Dreyfus Cash Solutions, a division of BNY Mellon Securities Corporation, a registered broker-dealer, Vice President of Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc., and Vice President of The Bank of New York. Ms. Cormack leads various enterprise projects focused on short-term investing, and is responsible for the management oversight of institutional sales, focusing on money market and short-duration products.

With 30 years of service, Ms. Cormack joined the Dreyfus Institutional Services Department in Los Angeles, CA. She was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 1994 and to Director of Sales in 2000.

Prior to joining Dreyfus, Ms. Cormack worked in the areas of finance and accounting, trust and wealth management, and investment accounting for various financial institutions, including Citibank, Northwestern National Bank, and Michigan National Bank.

Ms. Cormack graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and holds a Series 6, 7, 24, 26 and 63 FINRA licenses.

Lucien Foster

Lucien Foster is Head of Digital Partnerships for BNY Mellon, where he is responsible for executing global partnerships with technology companies, clients and emerging technology firms. Mr. Foster is also leading the firm’s principal strategic investments and oversees the firm’s Blockchain group.

Previously, he was at J.P. Morgan, leading strategic partnerships and Nasdaq, as a senior member of the Corporate Strategy group, focused on acquisitions and partnerships.

He began his career as a mergers & acquisitions banker in San Francisco and New York, focused on technology and capital markets.

Scott Freidenrich

Scott Freidenrich is an Executive Vice President and BNY Mellon’s Global Treasurer.

The Global Treasury organization is responsible for management of the company’s investment portfolio, debt and equity issuance, capital, foreign exchange exposure, liquidity and interest rate risk management. He is also responsible for the management of the company’s Benefits Investment Committee, Resolution and Recovery Planning and Investor Relations. Mr. Freidenrich is the Chairman of the Company’s Asset and Liability Committee and also serves on the company’s Benefits Investment Committee.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Mr. Freidenrich held a number of roles at Citigroup, including Head of Investor Relations, Treasurer of the Corporate and Investment Bank and Head of Institutional Sales for Prime Finance. He serves on the Rutgers Business School Board of Advisors. Mr. Freidenrich has a B.S. in finance from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from Fordham University.

Rebecca Glen is a Vice President and Senior Tax-Exempt Credit Analyst for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Advisers, Inc. She is responsible for general municipal bond research and specializes in not-for-profit health care. Ms. Glen was also a Municipal Bond Research Analyst/Assistant Portfolio Manager at Neuberger Berman, LLC, where she specialized in municipal bond analysis, trading for short-term municipal bond funds and individual client accounts. Ms. Glen has an M.B.A. from Iona College and a B.S. in business from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, the Municipal Analysts Group of New York, and the New York Academy of Sciences

Tracy A. Hopkins is Chief Operating Officer of Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, Vice President of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. and BNY Mellon, and Executive Vice President of Dreyfus Cash Solutions/BNY Mellon Securities Corporation. Ms. Hopkins is responsible for operational oversight of money market investment management activities as well as distribution efforts for money market funds and ultra-short fixed income products. Ms. Hopkins is responsible for the growth and maintenance of over $200 billion in assets under management, including Dreyfus money market funds, BNY Mellon offshore liquidity funds, private placement/sub-advised money funds, and BNY Mellon’s collective short-term investment funds.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Hopkins had operational oversight of Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies short duration fixed income separately managed accounts (SMAs) and BNY Mellon’s cash collateral reinvestment activities from 2009-2015.

Ms. Hopkins served as a regional institutional sales manager and Executive Vice President for distribution activities relating to Dreyfus’ money market and short duration SMA portfolios from 1999 through 2009. Distribution channels included broker-dealers, national clearing firms, investment advisers, and New York banking institutions.

Ms. Hopkins joined Client Services in Dreyfus’ Institutional Services Department in 1986 and became Executive Vice President of Dreyfus’ Institutional Operations and Client Service groups prior to her role as a regional institutional sales manager in 1999.

Ms. Hopkins graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985. She holds Series 7 (Registered Representative) and Series 24 (General Securities Principal) FINRA licenses. Ms. Hopkins is a participating member of the ICI Money Market Advisory Committee and Dreyfus’ Charitable Trust foundation.

Patricia A. Larkin

Patricia A. Larkin is Chief Investment Officer at Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies (CIS), a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. She is responsible for investment oversight for Dreyfus money market funds, offshore liquidity funds, private money funds, sub-advised money market funds, BNY Mellon’s ultra-short fixed income fund and BNY Mellon short-term collective funds. Additionally, she is a senior portfolio manager for numerous money market funds and oversees the funds’ trading group.

Ms. Larkin serves as a member of the CIS Counterparty Credit Risk Research Committee, the Dreyfus Risk and Compliance Committee and the Dreyfus Money Market Liquidity Oversight Group. She attended Hartwick College and Fordham University.

Keith Lawler

Keith Lawler is Senior Vice President and Manager of Credit Research at Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies (Dreyfus CIS), a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. He is responsible for oversight of the issuer-approved lists dedicated to Dreyfus money market and ultra-short investment strategies and BNY Mellon cash collateral reinvestment portfolios. Mr. Lawler chairs the Counterparty Credit Risk Research Committee and serves as a member of the Dreyfus Money Market Liquidity Oversight Group and the Stress Test Assessment Team. Prior to joining The Dreyfus Corporation in July 2000, Mr. Lawler spent four years in the Securities Valuation Office (SVO) of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) where he was a senior associate financial institutions analyst responsible for analyzing fixed income securities held in insurance company investment portfolios. Mr. Lawler has an M.B.A. and a B.A. from Manhattan College.

Chris Lucas

Chris Lucas is a Director of Global Government Affairs at BNY Mellon. Prior to BNY Mellon, Mr. Lucas served in a variety of positions in the U.S. Senate, including Legislative Counsel to Senator M. Michael Rounds (R-SD), where he was the primary staffer for Senator Rounds in his role as a member of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. In addition, Mr. Lucas was Investigative Counsel to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley (R-IA) and Counsel to then-U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-ME) where he covered banking issues during the consideration of Dodd-Frank. Mr. Lucas has a B.A. from the University of Rochester and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Des Mac Intyre is the Head of BNY Mellon Asset Management in North America. In this capacity, he acts as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Mellon, and he oversees the Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies (Dreyfus CIS) investment group within BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. Mr. Mac Intyre is also responsible for representing BNY Mellon's minority ownership interest in the Siguler Guff companies, a multi-strategy private equity boutique.

Mr. Mac Intyre most recently served as Head of Investment Process Oversight at Bridgewater Associates. Previously, he was the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Standish. His investment management experience spans more than three decades and includes roles as Chief Operating Officer at Pareto Partners and Head of Risk and Treasurer for GM Asset Management.

Mr. Mac Intyre has an MPhil in management studies from the University of Exeter, where he also served as an Honorary Research Fellow, and a B.A. from University College Dublin.

Colleen Meehan

Colleen Meehan is a Senior Vice President and Director, Tax-Exempt Money Market Fund Strategies, for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. She is responsible for the management of Dreyfus’ national and state-specific tax-free money market portfolios. Ms. Meehan has been with BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. since August 1999.

With over 30 years’ experience in the municipal bond market, Ms. Meehan has maintained several positions on both the long and short end of the tax-exempt market.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc., she was a portfolio manager at Prudential Investments since 1980, managing many different investment vehicles. Colleen managed Prudential’s Money Market Mutual Fund, national and state-specific, from 1994 to 1999, tax-exempt unit trusts from 1990 to 1994, long-term municipal bond portfolios from 1984 to 1990, and was a portfolio assistant from 1980 to 1984.

Ms. Meehan is on the Board of Governors of the Municipal Bond Women’s Club of New York and the Municipal Bond Club of New York. She has taken an active role in the annual Municipal Bond school and participates in several outside charitable venues. She is also a member of the imoney.net Advisory Council and has been a participant in several industry conferences representing the tax-exempt sector of the market, particularly Crane’s Money Fund Symposium and iMoneyNet Money Market Expo.

James G. O’Connor

James O’Connor is an Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of the Taxable Fixed Income Group for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. He is a member of the team responsible for portfolio management of the taxable money market funds. He is also the lead portfolio manager for the U.S. dollar portfolios of the BNY Mellon Liquidity Funds, which are offered only to non-U.S. institutional investors. Mr. O’Connor has served as a member of the Dreyfus Capital Commitments and Risk Management Committees. His previous positions include management, trading and sales positions at Aubrey G. Lanston and Co., Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. He holds a B.S. degree in finance from Providence College.

William J. Perlstein

William J. Perlstein served as Senior Deputy General Counsel at BNY Mellon from June 2015 until his retirement in November 2019. He had worldwide responsibility for regulatory engagements, government affairs, and corporate legal services including, M&A, cybersecurity and outsourcing. Mr. Perlstein conferred with regulators and participated in professional programs in the U.S., Europe and Asia on bank regulation and resolution matters. Mr. Perlstein spent most of his legal career at WilmerHale (and its predecessor firm, Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering), where he was managing partner for more than 13 years. He previously led the bankruptcy practice at Wilmer Cutler and worked on legislative amendments to the Bankruptcy Code and bank receivership legislation. Mr. Perlstein has testified before committees of both Houses of Congress and presented to the OECD, the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference, and at numerous law firm conferences. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; the Economic Club of New York; the Metropolitan Club in Washington, DC; a Lifetime Member of the American Law Institute; a Fellow and past General Counsel of the American College of Bankruptcy; a past Board member of the Neighborhood Legal Services Program (D.C.); and is a Trustee and Counsel to the Board of Trustees at Union College. Mr. Perlstein received the American Lawyer “Distinguished Law Firm Leadership” award in 2014 for lifetime accomplishments in law firm management. He graduated from Union College, summa cum laude, in 1971; attended the London School of Economics, 1969-70; received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1974, where he was Managing Editor of the Yale Law Journal; and attended the Harvard Business School Professional Services program. He was a law clerk to Hon. Marvin E. Frankel, S.D.N.Y. (1974-75).

Sam Schwartzman

Sam Schwartzman, Director, is the Global Head of the Investment Management Group (IMG) Cash Solutions Group at BNY Mellon. He and his group oversee the cash/investment-related agenda for the Investment Services and Markets Group divisions of BNY Mellon. Previously, Mr. Schwartzman had been the Global Head of Relationship Management for IMG.

Prior to his recent roles, Mr. Schwartzman managed IMG’s Corporate Trust and Treasury Services’ teams globally, as well as the Asset Servicing team domestically. Previously, with BNY Mellon, Sam managed the domestic U.S. team supporting Corporate Trust for IMG. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in April 2005, Mr. Schwartzman was in a similar role in IMG with JPMorgan Chase where he was overseeing cash/investment-related activity for various businesses in their Corporate Trust Division. Mr. Schwartzman has also held positions within Finance and Relationship Management groups for the Corporate Trust Division of Chase. He began his career as a registered representative/district agent at Prudential.

Mr. Schwartzman received a B.A. in economics/political science from Duke University. He holds Series 7, 24, and 63 certifications.

Jonathan Spirgel

Jonathan Spirgel is a member of BNY Mellon’s Senior Leadership Team and is the global head of Sales and Relationship Management, Liquidity Services and Segregation for BNY Mellon Markets. BNY Mellon Markets helps clients access liquidity, capital and financing through a comprehensive suite of services, including Foreign Exchange, Securities Finance, Fixed Income and Equities, Collateral Management, Segregation and Liquidity Services. Jonathan also oversees the liquidity investment platform and web-based liquidity portal used by clients throughout BNY Mellon.

Mr. Spirgel began his career at The Bank of New York in 1988 in the employee benefit trust division and since then has held various positions in the company. He led the Depositary Receipts product management group where he developed new and innovative products, such as the BLDRS exchange-traded funds, as well as the patented technology that drives the gold exchange-traded funds. He has led the company’s Liquidity Services business and served as head of sales and relationship management for Global Collateral Services. He holds three patents for the processes around “Commoditizing a Commodity,” “Commoditizing Foreign Currency” and “Securing Initial Margin in an OTC Derivatives Transaction.” These processes are used today to support some of the largest exchange-traded funds and the company’s segregation business. Mr. Spirgel also designed the first liquidity portal, MoneyFunds DIRECTSM, which allows institutional investors to invest excess liquidity across a range of short-term investment options.

Mr. Spirgel received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and investments and an M.B.A. in accountancy from the Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York.

David Vandivier

David Vandivier is Director of Global Government Affairs in BNY Mellon’s Government Affairs department, based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Mr. Vandivier had a 16-year career with the federal government serving as a U.S. Treasury Department official for four Treasury Secretaries. He also has served in the White House twice, at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and at the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), where he was Chief of Staff. Mr. Vandivier has also served a number of years on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee. Mr. Vandivier has a bachelor’s degree from Franklin College of Indiana and a master’s degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Liz Young, CFA®

Liz Young is Director of Market Strategy for BNY Mellon Investment Management. In this role, she works directly with the firm’s Chief Economist to formulate and deliver economic and market views to external audiences. She focuses on educating investors on current macroeconomic themes and their effects on capital markets. Ms. Young is a regular guest on CNBC, Bloomberg and Yahoo! Finance, and frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal and other industry publications.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2015, Ms. Young was a Portfolio Analyst at Robert W. Baird responsible for manager due diligence for the firm’s recommended manager programs and discretionary model platform. Prior to that, she served as a Research Analyst at BMO Global Asset Management where she performed economic and market research for the firm’s Chief Market Strategist and Investment Strategy Committee. She has over 14 years of industry experience.

Ms. Young earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well as a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of New York.
